What is print on demand?
Print on Demand is a direct to garment (DTG) printing services that allows you to print what you need on an “as needed” basis, without quantity limits or fees.
What is direct to garment printing?
DTG printing is a printing process that uses modified inkjet technology (like a giant inkjet printer) to print whatever graphic you want onto garments and textiles.
Why DTG over traditional Silk Screen?
Cost savings. As a graphic artist with thousands of products in stock I can print one design on one item for one price.
Silk screening limits the buyer to a minimum of 12 to 24 items.
I can print your design on a T-shirt, coffee mug or any other product I have in stock for one cost versus having you order boat loads of product you don’t need.
DTG print quality vs Silk Screen quality?
To start off, both methods produce images that last for years and should survive hundreds of washes. To the naked eye it’s hard to tell the difference between DTG and silk screen, in fact a lot of shirts you see today are printed using DTG.
Silk screen uses special fabric paint and tends last a few years longer (like an old concert shirt from the 80s).
DTG printers use special printer ink and may not survive through the decades like an old concert shirt however, ArtichokeUSA offers free replacements on T-shirts and apparel that fade or crack.
Silk screens cannot print high def jpg images or often keep the original colors from the design while DTG can.
Since DTG printers print directly onto fabric there are chances, if you look really closely, that you may see some slight bleeding with sharp lines; from a distance and while in motion, you cannot see these details.
DTG printing eliminates set up fees and additional charges for multiple colors often associated with traditional silk screening.
DTG printing can print full color high resolution JPG's such as portraits and as well handle color blends and gradients. Silk screen printing cannot offer this kind of printing without modifying the original image and colors.
Why me over the rest?
I am graphic artist that offers printing and embroidery services.
Most graphic artist only create designs then refer you to a printer while, most printers only print and refer you to a graphic artist for the artwork. I offer all in one package deals that include graphic designs and printing, without quantity limits.
How does this benefit you?
More than likely, if you found me you already know how expensive it is to have a silk screener print one shirt or they denied you because, it would not be cost efficient to just print one shirt.
If you need one shirt with a design, your costs will only be limited to the design, this means you don’t have to look for a printing service once the design is done.
In closing, if you need one shirt and have about 7 to 10 business days to allow for shipping, I am your guy.
What else do you offer?
Personal art lessons. I have a unique style of teaching that I have never seen applied before and would like to see if it works for you.
I can’t promise to turn you into the next Picasso however, I can show you the fundamentals of drawing (from my perspective) and within the first lesson you will be drawing and seeing the world in a different way.
Be one of the 1st 10 people to sign up and get $5 off your first lesson.
I teach traditional art using pencil and paper or digital art using Photoshop.
Traditional art Lessons start at $25 per hour, Digital art lessons start at $35 per hour.
Direct message: “Can you teach me how to draw” to get started today.
If your still reading thanks, here’s my story:
I am a local artist from Portland Oregon who moved to Southern California back in the last 90’s and have been drawing for over 40 years.
One of the most asked questions I get is, "Can you draw me something?" or "Can you teach me how to draw?" With all the support and encouragement over the years I finally decided to go online and see if I can make an impact.
My mission goal for ArtichokeUSA is to simply make people happy through art while challenging myself to being a better artist.
The artwork in my art gallery is a collection of my artwork over the years. While most people print their artwork on canvass or paper and sell prints, I opted to print my artwork on shirts in hopes you will support and rep my artwork in the real world.
Thank you for your support.
